Linda Hansen

I grew up in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. I met Jesus when I was 14 and fell in love with the One who loved the idea of me before I even existed. At 17 I finished high school and wanted to study something that would allow me to have adventures and travel the world, like I always dreamed I would. So I chose cooking and studied for 3 years at Silwood Kitchens in Cape Town.

Determined to finish and stubbornly believing I don't make mistakes, it took me till the last year to realize that I would never feel at home in an industry kitchen.

During this time my faith was growing and after joining Shofar, Stellenbosch church in my third year the Lord revealed to me that I had never asked Him what I was meant to do with my life. I had said "I give my life to You, Lord" and then continued to plan my life according to what I thought was best. So knowing my plans had led me to a brick wall I asked Him where I should go next.

He made me wait so that I would listen to Him properly.. Then told me to do a DTS (Discipleship Training School) with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). From there He has called me to go into full time missions and live life in a way that fully embraces all I am. He has explained me to myself and now I am excited for life and every day I get to spend sitting on the door step of Heaven.
